POLLUTION CONTROL OFFICER

About the role

Position :   Pollution Control Officer

1.       Ensures Company’s compliance with existing government regulations, including reportorial requirements related to pollution and waste handling inside the whole factory.

2.       Supervises the operations of the section head regarding the performance of duties and responsibilities of the staff.

3.       Attends to the reports of the section head regarding the performance of duties and responsibilities of the staff.

4.       Oversees the Company’s waste minimization program on water usage and solid wastes and implement measures which are necessary to improve resulted and sustain the program.

5.       Coordinates with different departments involved in waste minimization measures to ensure cooperation and compliance.

6.       Evaluates the performance of WWTP personnel and where necessary, imposes disciplinary action.

7.       Attends to inspection involving pollution by government regulatory agencies as well as immediate action on complaints or issues on pollution raised by the community where the factory is located.

8.       Maintains all files such as permits and licenses, records and data to monitor results related work.

9.       Monitors the compliance of other companies located inside the complex with government regulatory pollution standards.

10.   Performs other work as may be required from time to time.
