Poly Welder / Poly Technician – HDPE Pipe Fabrication

About the role

We're looking for a skilled poly welder to join our team in a full-time role, fabricating and installing HDPE pipe and fittings for our pumping and irrigation projects. You'll split your time between our Kyabram workshop and customer sites, working with our installation and field service crews to get systems built right the first time.

Key responsibilities

• Butt fusion and electrofusion welding of HDPE pipe and fittings
• Fabricate manifolds, pump station pipework, headworks and custom fittings in the workshop
• Install and join poly pipelines on site for irrigation, stock and domestic water, and civil projects
• Read drawings and job sheets, and measure, cut and prepare pipe accurately
• Record weld data and keep job paperwork accurate
• Pressure test pipework and help with commissioning
• Look after welding machines, tools and equipment
• Follow site safety requirements and work safely around excavation and machinery
• Help with general pump and irrigation installation work when needed

About you

• Experience welding HDPE pipe (butt fusion and/or electrofusion)
• Current polyethylene welding tickets, or willingness to get them
• A current driver's licence
• A construction induction card (White Card)
• Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
• Reliable, safety-minded, and comfortable working outdoors and in regional areas
• Experience in irrigation, water infrastructure, civil or mining pipelines
• A medium or heavy rigid licence, or experience towing trailers and plant
• Experience operating excavators or other machinery
• Mechanical or pump installation experience

We supply, build, install and service pumping systems for farms, contractors, councils, industry and homes across Northern Victoria and Southern NSW. Our work ranges from bore pumps and diesel pump packages to pump stations, HDPE pipelines, and Pierce centre pivots and lateral irrigators. We're a practical, hands-on team with a family feel, and we take pride in doing the job properly.
