Polypropylene Extrusion Welder

Job Summary

The PP Extrusion Welder will support the equipment installation and commissioning phase at the AKFA aluminum manufacturing facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This role focuses on executing high-quality extrusion welding on polypropylene (PP) panels, sheets, tanks, and structural plastic components under the technical direction of Gazzani / equipment supplier specialists.

Responsibilities

• Perform extrusion welding of polypropylene (PP) panels, sheets and components using PP welding electrodes.
• Prepare PP surfaces, edges and components prior to welding.
• Execute welds in accordance with technical requirements, drawings and instructions from the equipment supplier.
• Ensure proper weld quality, alignment and dimensional accuracy.
• Visually inspect completed welds and correct defects where required.
• Work under the technical supervision of Gazzani / equipment supplier specialists.
• Follow all site HSE requirements and PPE rules.

Experience

• Hands-on experience with PP / thermoplastic extrusion welding at least 3 years.
• Experience welding polypropylene sheets, tanks, ducts, panels or similar fabricated plastic components.
• Experience operating plastic welding equipment and hand tools.
• Ability to follow technical instructions; ability to read basic drawings is preferred.
• Industrial construction, manufacturing or equipment-installation experience is preferred.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
