Custom Fabrication Shop | Full-Time

We are a busy custom fabrication shop looking for an experienced and dependable Polyurea / Water-Based Spray Painter to join our team.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with spray application and takes pride in producing clean, consistent, high-quality finishes. Experience working with polyurea coatings, water-based paints, primers, and other industrial or automotive coatings is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fabricated parts and surfaces for coating, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
• Apply polyurea and water-based coatings using professional spray equipment.
• Mix and prepare coatings according to manufacturer specifications.
• Produce consistent coverage, texture, color, and finish.
• Inspect finished work for runs, sags, uneven coverage, defects, and other imperfections.
• Perform touch-ups and rework as needed.
• Properly clean and maintain spray guns, pumps, hoses, and other painting equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow shop safety procedures and proper PPE requirements.
• Work from drawings, work orders, color specifications, and customer requirements.
• Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a spray painter, industrial painter, automotive painter, coatings applicator, or similar role.
• Experience spraying polyurea is strongly preferred.
• Experience with water-based paints/coatings is required.
• Comfortable operating and maintaining professional spray equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fabrication team.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a productive work pace.
• Ability to safely handle coatings, solvents, and related chemicals.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical shop work.
• Experience in a custom fabrication or manufacturing environment is a plus.
