Job Summary:

The Pool Attendant is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and cleaning of pools across the properties assigned to them, ensuring they are safe, clean, and ready for guest use. This role involves regular inspection of water quality, pool cleanliness, and the functionality of pool equipment. The Pool Attendant also ensures that the surrounding pool area is well-maintained, restocking supplies, and reporting any issues to the Pool and Garden Team Supervisor for prompt resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Pool Maintenance & Cleaning

• Perform daily cleaning of the pools, including removing debris, cleaning pool surfaces, and skimming water to ensure cleanliness.

• Regularly check and maintain water quality by testing chlorine, pH, and other chemical levels, ensuring they meet safety standards.

• Ensure the pool area is tidy by cleaning the surrounding deck, emptying trash, and organizing pool furniture.

Water Quality Control

• Monitor and adjust chemical levels in the pools to ensure the water remains safe and balanced for guest use.

• Report any chemical imbalances or water quality issues to the Pool and Garden Team Supervisor for immediate attention.

• Keep a record of water tests, treatments, and maintenance tasks performed on the pools.

Equipment Maintenance

• Inspect and maintain pool equipment, such as filters, pumps, and heaters, ensuring they are functioning properly.

• Report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor for repairs or replacement as needed.

• Ensure that all tools and cleaning supplies are in working condition and restocked when necessary.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure that all safety equipment, such as life rings and pool signage, is present and in good condition.

• Monitor the pool area for safety hazards and report any concerns to the supervisor.

• Ensure the pool complies with health and safety standards and local regulations, reporting any discrepancies.

General Upkeep of Pool Areas

• Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the pool area, including keeping pool furniture clean and organized.

• Ensure that any damaged or worn-out poolside furniture or accessories are reported and replaced as necessary.

• Restock towels, sunscreen, and other guest supplies in the pool area as needed.

Collaborating & Reporting

• Work closely with the Pool and Garden Team Supervisor, providing updates on the condition of the pools and surrounding areas.

• Assist in any renovation or maintenance projects related to pools, ensuring tasks are completed on time.

• Report any pool issues that require further attention, such as repairs, equipment replacements, or extensivecleaning.

Job Summary:

The Gardener is responsible for maintaining the health, beauty, and cleanliness of the gardens and landscaped areas across all properties. This role involves daily upkeep, such as planting, pruning, watering, and fertilizing, to ensure that all plants, trees, and flowers thrive. The Gardener works closely with the Pool and Garden Team Supervisor to implement landscape plans, conduct regular garden inspections, and ensure the outdoor spaces remain inviting and well-cared-for year-round.

Key Responsibilities:

Garden Maintenance

• Perform daily upkeep of garden areas, including watering, weeding, pruning, and mowing lawns to ensure the gardens are neat and well-maintained.

• Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, and trees based on the landscape plan or seasonal requirements.

• Maintain garden borders, hedges, lawns, and flowerbeds, ensuring they are clean, tidy, and attractive.

Plant Health & Care

• Regularly inspect plants for signs of disease, pests, or nutrient deficiencies, and take appropriate action to maintain plant health.

• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and mulch as needed to ensure plants are properly nourished and protected from harmful insects or diseases.

• Trim and prune trees, shrubs, and bushes to promote growth and improve the aesthetic appearance of the gardens.

Greenhouse

• Assist in seasonal planting and garden planning, ensuring the landscape evolves to match the time of year.

• Prepare garden beds and soil for planting, applying seasonal fertilizers and necessary treatments.

• Rake leaves, remove debris, and ensure the garden is clean and well-prepared during autumn and winter months.

• Carry out planting of new trees, shrubs, flowers, and ground cover according to the approved planting plan.

• Follow a rotational daily schedule, where team members take turns to:

• Collect, transport, and plant new plants as required.

• Maintain, water, fertilize, and monitor plant growth in the greenhouse.

• Ensure all plants in the greenhouse are properly cared for, including watering schedules and health monitoring before being transferred to garden areas.

• Report plant health issues, pest infestations, or soil problems to the Garden Supervisor or Operations team.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of garden tools, equipment, storage areas, and greenhouse facilities.

Garden Tools & Equipment Maintenance

• Properly maintain and store all gardening tools and equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and pruning shears.

• Ensure that equipment is cleaned, serviced, and repaired as necessary, and report any major malfunctions to the Pool and Garden Team Supervisor.

• Keep track of gardening supplies and materials, restocking when needed.

Collaborating with Supervisor

• Work closely with the Pool and Garden Team Supervisor to execute gardening tasks in line with the property’s overall landscape plan.

• Provide updates on the health and status of plants and suggest improvements to the garden layout when necessary.

• Assist with garden planning, sourcing plants, and implementing new garden features as per the supervisor's direction.

Waste Management & Cleanliness

• Ensure all garden areas are kept clean and free of debris, including managing green waste such as leaves, branches, and plant trimmings.

• Dispose of plant waste in an environmentally responsible manner, ensuring composting and recycling where possible.

Assist with Garden Renovation Projects

• Support any garden renovation projects, such as replanting, re-landscaping, or installing new garden features.

• Help with sourcing plants, materials, and tools necessary for garden upgrades.

Training & Development

• Continuously learn and apply best gardening practices to improve skills and knowledge.

• Participate in training sessions provided by the Pool and Garden Team Supervisor to ensure the gardens remain up-to-date with modern landscaping techniques.
