Pool Attendant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and attentive Pool Attendant to join our team at Interactive Multi-Purpose Cooperative. This is a full-time position based in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. As a Pool Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests and members enjoy a safe, clean, and well-maintained pool facility. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of pool hygiene, safety, and customer service, contributing directly to the positive experience of all pool users and the overall reputation of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Maintaining pool cleanliness by regularly skimming the water surface, cleaning the pool deck, and removing debris from the pool area
• Monitoring and testing pool water chemistry, including chlorine and pH levels, to ensure water quality meets safety standards
• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as vacuuming the pool floor, cleaning filters, and maintaining pool equipment
• Enforcing pool safety rules and regulations to protect guests and members from potential hazards
• Assisting guests and members with pool-related inquiries and providing directions to pool facilities
• Maintaining detailed records of pool maintenance activities, chemical treatments, and equipment servicing
• Reporting any damage to pool equipment or facilities to management promptly
• Keeping the poolside area organised and ensuring all safety equipment is readily accessible
• Supporting lifeguards and other team members to create a safe and welcoming pool environment

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Pool Attendant or in a similar hospitality or maintenance role
• Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures and water chemistry management
• Familiarity with pool safety standards and regulations
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour, including lifting and carrying equipment
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact professionally with guests and team members
• Reliability and punctuality in attending to duties
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining cleanliness standards
• Certification in pool maintenance or water chemistry is advantageous but not essential
