Location: Washington, DC

Job Type: Full-time; schedule may include weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours.

Pay: $35-50/hr, based on experience.

Job Description:

American Ag Energy (AAE) is seeking a dependable Pool Maintenance Site Manager to supervise daily cleaning and maintenance activities at a large commercial pool and water-treatment facility. The Site Manager will coordinate the maintenance crew, communicate with water-treatment operators and project management, monitor work quality, and ensure that tasks are completed safely and on schedule.

This position is hands-on and requires strong organization, communication, and field-supervision skills. The Site Manager will not independently modify treatment processes or operate restricted equipment unless properly trained and authorized.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise pool maintenance and cleaning workers.
• Assign daily tasks and confirm staffing coverage.
• Coordinate skimming, debris removal, pressure washing, housekeeping, and basic maintenance.
• Inspect completed work for quality and completeness.
• Maintain daily labor, inspection, and maintenance logs.
• Report equipment issues, safety hazards, supply needs, and schedule problems.
• Coordinate with qualified water-treatment operators regarding site conditions.
• Ensure employees use required PPE and follow safety procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and organized storage areas.
• Support onboarding and training for new maintenance workers.
• Coordinate deliveries, waste removal, and approved site access.
• Assist with special-event preparation and cleanup.
• Communicate daily status updates to the project manager.
• Respond to routine site issues and escalate emergencies appropriately.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience supervising a maintenance, cleaning, facilities, landscaping, pool, or general labor crew.
• Reliable attendance and ability to coordinate a variable schedule.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and follow written procedures.
• Basic computer or smartphone skills for electronic reports and communications.
• Ability to work outdoors around water, wet surfaces, equipment, and cleaning products.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to pass required site-access or security screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with commercial pools, water-treatment facilities, pumps, filters, or mechanical equipment.
• Experience using pressure washers, pool vacuums, pumps, hoses, and hand tools.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Experience maintaining daily logs, checklists, or work schedules.
• Valid driver’s license.

Important Requirements:

The Site Manager may not handle treatment chemicals, enter confined spaces, operate restricted equipment, or perform electrical or regulated plumbing work unless properly trained, licensed where required, and authorized.
