Pool Maintenance Technician

Independent contractor (1099) · $3,000–$4,500 a month · Monday–Friday · Own truck preferred, route gas covered

A full residential route is open and it's ready on day one: recurring accounts, sequenced stops, and every chemical supplied. We want a technician who has run a route before and would rather spend the day on pools than on finding customers.

The work

About 12 to 17 homes a day, Monday through Friday. At each stop you test and balance the water, brush the walls, vacuum, skim, empty the baskets, and clean filters when they're due. Each visit is logged in our route app with a note on equipment condition, and anything beyond the standard service (filter cleans, drain-and-refills, chlorine washes) gets flagged so we can quote it. When a homeowner is home, you're the face of Blue Halo. Equipment repair and replacement are not part of this role.

What you bring

• 2+ years servicing residential pools on your own route
• Water chemistry you know cold: chlorine, pH, alkalinity, CYA, calcium hardness and phosphates
• The ability to turn a green or cloudy pool around without help
• Enough equipment knowledge to spot a failing pump, filter, heater or automation system and describe the problem clearly
• A valid Florida driver's license and a driving record that qualifies for auto coverage
• Comfort working in South Florida heat, lifting 50 lbs and handling pool chemicals safely
• U.S. work authorization and a completed W-9

Your own truck or SUV is preferred, set up for route work and insured for business use.

What we cover

• Pay: $3,000–$4,500 a month, depending on your experience and the size of your route
• Gas: route driving covered with a weekly fuel allowance
• Chemicals and equipment: all supplied, nothing out of your pocket
• Onboarding: two paid weeks on the route alongside our team before you take it over
• CPO certification: paid for if you don't already hold one
• Growth: your rate rises as your route and responsibilities grow, and you're eligible for discretionary performance incentives
• A direct line to the owners, with no dispatcher or call center in between

Nice to have

• CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification
• Saltwater systems and variable-speed pumps
• Equipment troubleshooting experience
