The Position: Pool Technician

Part-time position- approximately 20 hours per week

Pay Rate - $15.90 per hour. Pay Grade 3

General Purpose:

Cleans, adjusts, and performs minor repairs to swimming pools and auxiliary equipment.

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

Clean pool tiles, vacuum pool, hose down deck and surrounding area daily

Clean bathrooms, disinfect toilets and showers, replenish paper supplies

Perform chemical tests on pool water; correct chemical levels as needed according to State of Florida regulations.

Observe any irregularities in the pit, heater room, or around the pool area. Report to the Crew Leader.

Maintain and repair pool heaters, feeder pumps and pumps.

Other duties as assigned

Experience/Qualifications:

Must have current CPO (Certified Pool/Spa Operator) certificate or successfully complete training course within one year of hire date.

Must be able to work with and around chemicals required for pool water disinfection (i.e., chlorine, stabilizers, diatomaceous earth, and any others currently in use or that may be required in the future).

Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds.

Ability to operate pool maintenance equipment.

Selections guidelines: Formal application, rating of education and experience; oral interview and reference check. The following pre-employment, job related tests will be required:

Drug testing is required.

Lift test to 50 lbs.

Barefoot Bay The largest unincorporated, deed-restricted manufactured home community and recreation district, located in southern Brevard County, Florida. The population reported from the 2010 United States Census was 9,808. The nearest commercial area is Sebastian, FL, located in Indian River County. History of Barefoot Bay Barefoot Bay began as an idea for a recreational vehicle vacation resort for those looking to escape the colder weather up north or just looking for a great place to relax. In 1968, the Gulf Acceptance Corporation, purchased the original one thousand acres that would become known as Barefoot Bay. With that, the vision for a Polynesian themed recreation community had begun. The beautiful Polynesian style clubhouse opened its doors in June of 1971. It would host up to 500 people and include a full kitchen.
