We are part of a large nationwide company, giving you the best of both worlds. A close-knit local team, with the support, systems and opportunities of a national business.

As a pool valet you will be required to visit our clients properties and clean/maintain their pool.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, helping customers and taking pride in doing a good job. You’ll be involved in both pool and spa servicing and also providing in store support, with the opportunity to develop your technical skills and grow with the business.

The role

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Regular pool and spa valets
• One-off pool cleaning and water-balancing services
• Pool and spa maintenance and basic equipment checks
• Water testing and chemical recommendations
• Assisting with new pool and spa startups
• Helping customers in the store
• Chemical sales, product advice and customer service
• Stock handling, deliveries and general store support
• Working alongside the branch manager and wider team

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Motivated, hard-working and reliable

• Enjoys working outdoors, practical and hands-on

• Physically fit

• Customer-focused with a positive 'can do' attitude

• Excellent communication (written & verbal) and time management skills

• Computer literacy

• Well presented, friendly & professional in dealings with clients

• Willing to learn and develop their pool and spa servicing skills

• Able to work independently while also being a team player

• Self motivated, an ability to troubleshoot and think on your feet

• Holds a full, clean New Zealand driver licence

Previous pool, spa, plumbing, landscaping, mechanical, retail or related experience would be an advantage but not essential. The right attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.

What we offer

• Full-time, 36+ hours-per-week position

• A varied role across pool servicing and retail

• The opportunity to learn and develop technical skills

• A supportive small team in Tauranga

• The backing of a large nationwide company

• A role with genuine opportunity to grow as the service business expands

• A competitive rate plus vehicle, tablet and mobile phone will be provided to the successful candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established successful business in the Tauranga region.

If you enjoy practical outdoor work, meeting customers and being part of a team that takes pride in what it does, we’d love to hear from you. Please Apply Now by submitting your CV and cover letter.
