Poolside Assistant

We are looking for candidates that have a passion for working with children, have a keen in interest in swimming and/or physical activity.
This role is for a fixed term, 80-hour contract, assisting the swimming teachers on poolside with the delivery of the school swimming lessons.
The hours of work are term time only ranging from 2-10 hours per week depending on candidate availability.
The school swimming programme operates through the whole of the City and not one specific location.

Main Areas of Responsibility

· To assist the swimming teachers with the delivery of the school swimming lessons in line with the National Curriculum requirements.

· Keep records, including registers, SEND information, attendance and achievements.

· Liaise with school teachers to ensure the effective delivery of all aspects of swimming.

· Comply with all health and safety regulations, and be familiar with all operational systems and procedures, including emergency evacuation and safeguarding policy.

Following the fixed term position there may be the opportunity to move to a permanent contract.

Pay: £14.04 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 per week
