Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and mops.
• Handle janitorial tasks including trash removal, sanitation, and restocking supplies to ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Operate cleaning machinery safely, including floor buffers and other custodial equipment, following all safety protocols.
• Assist with light maintenance duties such as painting, minor repairs, and facilities upkeep to support building operations.
• Manage chemical agents safely by adhering to handling safety procedures and proper storage guidelines.
• Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
• Support overall facilities maintenance by ensuring cleanliness, safety compliance, and readiness of the environment for daily operations.

Experience

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and knowledge of floor care techniques.
• Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with safety protocols.
• Strong understanding of sanitation standards and proper cleaning procedures.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining adherence to safety practices.
• Customer service skills are a plus, especially when interacting with staff or visitors during routine duties.
• Prior experience in facilities maintenance or general custodial roles will be considered an asset.
