Overview

We are seeking dedicated and energetic Porters to join our facilities maintenance and cleaning team. In this vital role, you will be the frontline of cleanliness and upkeep, ensuring our environment remains safe, sanitary, and welcoming for staff and visitors alike. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the smooth operation of our premises. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your custodial skills while supporting the overall maintenance of our facility.

We have both part-time and full-time roles available, with different options for shift schedules.

Conducting open/walk-in in person interviews Friday 10/9, and Monday 10/12 from 4:30PM-5:30PM. Meet on street/lobby level at the concierge desk.

Duties

• Perform thorough clean and reset of all common areas, offices, restrooms, elevator cabs, and public spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
• Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols for storage, mixing, and disposal
• Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, and other custodial equipment to maintain optimal floor care and appearance
• Support move-in/move-out processes
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks in accordance with safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed
• Assist with general facilities maintenance including minor repairs, painting, and upkeep tasks to ensure a clean and functional environment
• Report all observed damage or maintenance needs
• Follow sanitation standards rigorously to uphold health regulations and promote a safe workspace for all staff and visitors
• Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects that require specialized techniques or equipment handling

Qualifications

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, or vacuums is advantageous
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety protocol adherence
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards staff and visitors
• Basic facilities maintenance skills; residential painting or industrial cleaning experience is a plus
• Commitment to safety practices and maintaining a clean, organized work environment

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
