Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Porter/Maintenance professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities while assisting with basic maintenance tasks. This position is essential in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Routinely clean building floors, cafeteria, and manufacturing hallways by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming as appropriate
• Gather and empty trash. Dispose of Styrofoam
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using appropriate cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
• Dedusting walls, windows, molding, office machines and equipment
• Clean kitchen areas, including refrigerator, microwaves, coffee machine, water cooler
• ·Mix water and detergents containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
• Prepare cart and cleaning supplies for the day
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors
• Maintain humidifiers in lab area daily.
• Collection of water samples for QC. Fill/Empty the water in the Stability Chambers (QC Lab)
• Interior Pest Control Inspection (Must be certified)
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks
• Notify supervisor concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
• Replenish the supply of copy paper by the copy when needed
• Coordinates pick up and return of rags and clothing from vendor
• Verify items received and condition
• Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, scaffolding to prepare facilities when needed
• Salt and shovel snow as needed in areas snow removal company misses
• Maintain necessary logbooks in accordance with SOPs
• Special projects as assigned: painting lines and floors, replace filters in HVAC units, relabeling of products, assisting on production line, transferring packages/documents between buildings, etc.
• Back up supervision for sanitation for MTC when needed
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management

Qualification:

• Qualification: High School graduate or equivalent or adequate experience in the related field
• Experience: Minimum 1 – 2 yrs. Industrial Experience in the related field

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read & write English
• Ability to understand and follow GMP, SOP & General safety requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively

Physical Demands:

• Required to reach with arms and use hands and fingers to handle or feel
• Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, bend, sit, talk, hear, and climb a ladder
• The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 lbs or more
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment:

• Work in an office environment but also at very close proximity to heavy machinery in the warehouse and powders from products
• May be in contact with Allergens (Milk, Eggs, Fish, Crustacean Shellfish. Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Wheat, and Soybeans)
• Move between office, outside and warehouse areas to complete job functions
