PORTER - Full Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Service Porter is the backbone of the Service Department. He or She helps us daily by assisting the store to maintain a clean and consistent environment thus ensuring we greatly exceed our customers experience.

• Actively seeks out ways to improve efficiency in the service team's day.
• Understands that our facility is a representation of who we are and strives to make it look the best it possibly can.
• Constantly works to improve systems and processes that will bring value to our customers and team through cleaning, organization, and massive action.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PORTER

• Lot Management: Manage the Outside Lot and storage environment to our high standards. This includes protecting against theft, safely storing units to protect from damage.
• Work with the Production Manager to fill Tech Rows, (See Process Sheet)
• Keep Tech row 3 plus units for day supply of work: Adjust as needed as throughput increases or decreases
• Have tech rows completed by the end of the day to prepare for tomorrow’s workload.
• Once assembled and pictures are done, complete placement of unit in lot by color, species, retail selling experience
• Complete a daily walk of the yard and ensure all units are stored or locked as needed to minimize theft.
• Assist as needed with event load in and load out as requested. This includes after hours events.
• Proactively work to maximize the efficiency and organization of the department • Cleaning of the warehouse, setup area, storage areas, Shop and parking areas.
• Assist the service team as needed with taking out trash, organization and general clean up.
• Use company vehicles to transport units safely and timely while accurately tying down units for safe transport
• Regular check-in is required to assist and communicate with the team. Walkie talky is on you & utilized daily
• All other tasks per management direction
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols are followed. including proper handling of vehicles and adherence to dealership policies.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 / hour
