Portfolio Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Portfolio Manager to manage and oversee a diversified investment portfolio across public and private markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for asset allocation, investment selection, portfolio monitoring, rebalancing, liquidity planning, risk management and ongoing portfolio optimisation. The role requires strong investment judgement, market awareness and the ability to assess investments from an overall portfolio perspective. The Portfolio Manager will work closely with the Principal and senior management, providing clear investment recommendations and taking ownership of portfolio decisions and implementation. As part of the role, the Portfolio Manager may also support the enhancement of investment guidelines, governance processes and reporting practices where appropriate.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the overall investment portfolio across multiple asset classes
• Recommend appropriate asset allocation based on investment objectives, market conditions, risk tolerance and liquidity requirements
• Identify and evaluate investment opportunities across public and private markets
• Conduct investment research, financial analysis and due diligence
• Assess equities, fixed income, funds, external managers, private investments and other opportunities
• Monitor global financial markets, macroeconomic developments, interest rates, currencies and market trends
• Monitor market, concentration, liquidity, currency, counterparty and other relevant portfolio risks
• Coordinate investment transactions, subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls and rebalancing
• Monitor portfolio and investment performance against relevant objectives and benchmarks
• Provide practical and independent investment advice to the Principal and senior stakeholders

About you

• Minimum 3 years of relevant investment experience, with hands-on involvement in multi-asset portfolio management, asset allocation, investment selection, portfolio monitoring, rebalancing, liquidity management and risk management
• Experience in portfolio management, asset management, family office, private wealth, institutional investing or a comparable environment
• Strong understanding of public-market investments, including equities, fixed income and funds
• Ability to analyse investment opportunities and provide clear investment recommendations
• Strong understanding of portfolio risk, diversification, liquidity and investment performance
• Experience working with banks, custodians, asset managers and fund managers
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Mathematics or a related discipline
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required, as the role involves regular communication and presentation of investment matters to Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and counterparties
