Portfolio Modeler and Analyst

We are seeking an Analyst and Modeler to partner closely with Portfolio Management, Portfolio Finance, Corporate Finance and Technology teams to design, develop, and enhance the company's enterprise portfolio modeling and forecasting platform. Our client has been a leading investment manager for over 40 years. Headquartered in New York, the firm maintains strategically located offices across the United States and Europe and offers a broad range of real estate strategies across the risk/return spectrum to approximately 500 institutional investors across the globe. This role provides the opportunity to work directly with the teams responsible for making investment decisions across the firm. The platform serves as a core component of the investment and forecasting process, enabling stakeholders to evaluate acquisition opportunities, model portfolio scenarios, forecast financial performance, and assess the impact of strategic decisions across multiple funds. The successful candidate will gain deep exposure to real estate investing, portfolio construction, forecasting, capital planning, and enterprise analytics while helping shape one of the firm's most important decision-support platforms. A successful individual in this role will combine strong technical capabilities, financial modeling expertise, and sound business judgment to deliver solutions that directly influence how investment decisions are evaluated and executed.

• Compensation is in the $120K-$150K salary range plus bonus.
• We are unable to transfer a visa or sponsor for permanent residency. Only Green Card holders or US Citizens will be considered.
• The position is on a hybrid schedule – 3 days a week in the office in New York City

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enhance models and own the development and continuous enhancement of modeling capabilities
• Partner directly with investment professionals, portfolio managers, and finance leadership
• Develop portfolio and fund-level scenario analysis tools
• Define requirements, prioritize enhancements, and deliver solutions
• Connect with upstream and downstream business systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in business analysis with ownership of a finance related modeling, forecasting, or planning platform.
• Must have experience in Anaplan, Excel or other planning platform
• Must have evolved a financial model over time, partnered closely with business users, and improved decision-making and business outcomes.
• Preference for experience in real estate, private markets, or structured credit.
• Strong proficiency with SQL or Power BI is helpful.
