What they need

At Your Therapy Place PBS, we believe everyone has the right to thrive. We work alongside individuals, families, and support teams to understand behaviours of concern and create practical, personalised strategies that make everyday life easier.

We are an inclusive, multidisciplinary team of Behaviour Support Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Counsellors, and Allied Health Assistants. Together, we support people of all abilities to build confidence, capacity, and connection.

Behind the scenes, our dedicated administration team manages client intakes, scheduling, and paperwork so our clinicians can focus on meaningful, high-quality clinical work.

We are now looking for a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in Rockhampton.

About the Role

In this role, you will support NDIS participants across the lifespan, working closely with participants, families, carers, support coordinators, and our wider multidisciplinary team.

You will have the time, flexibility, and support to do behaviour support properly. This means building genuine relationships, developing practical and respectful plans, and supporting real, sustainable change. This position is full-time, with flexibility around your roster to suit your life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing Functional Behaviour Assessments in line with NDIS and NDIS Commission requirements

  • Developing, reviewing, and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans that are person-centred and practical

  • Supporting the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices using PBS principles

  • Providing training and guidance to families, carers, and support teams

  • Collecting and analysing data to inform strategies and outcomes

  • Maintaining clear, compliant documentation including case notes and progress reports

  • Working ethically and in line with relevant legislation, guidelines, and professional standards

About You

You will be a great fit if you:

  • Hold tertiary qualifications in allied health, psychology, counselling, behaviour support, or a related field

  • Are eligible as a Core Behaviour Support Practitioner or above

  • Work from a person-centred and trauma-informed approach

  • Are confident working independently while valuing collaboration

  • Communicate clearly and thoughtfully, both in writing and in person

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting people living with a disability and their support networks

  • Hold a Driver’s Licence, Working With Children Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or are willing to obtain them

What We Offer

We are proud of our culture. It is genuine, supportive, and filled with people who care deeply about what they do.

When you join Your Therapy Place PBS, you can expect:

  • Competitive salary plus super, negotiated based on experience

  • Relocation bonus up to $5,000

  • Flexible roster options, including a 9-day fortnight

  • Paid external supervision and a dedicated professional development budget

  • Weekly peer supervision with our multidisciplinary team

  • Full administrative support, including a dedicated team member to format letters and reports

  • Access to a company car for client visits

  • Shadowing opportunities to support learning and confidence

  • The freedom to focus on the clinical areas you enjoy most

  • Access to our company resource library

  • The option to work remotely for report writing

  • A locally owned, values driven business where your voice matters
