JOB DESCRIPTION – POST-TENSIONING DRAFTSMAN

A. POSITION SUMMARY

Dynamic Prestress (India) Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Post-Tensioning Draftsman for our Engineering team based at Nashik.

The Post-Tensioning Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate Post-Tensioning (PT) construction drawings, tendon layouts, tendon profiles, shop drawings, stressing details, reinforcement detailing, IFC drawings, and as-built drawings based on approved engineering designs.

The candidate will work closely with PT Designers, Site Engineers, Project Managers, clients, consultants, and other engineering teams to ensure drawing accuracy, quality standards, timely submission, and smooth project execution.

B. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. PT & Structural Drafting

• Prepare Post-Tensioning slab layout drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare detailed tendon profile drawings.
• Prepare tendon marking drawings and stressing layouts.
• Prepare anchorage and stressing-end details.
• Prepare tendon schedules and tendon quantity details.
• Prepare reinforcement detailing related to PT works.
• Interpret structural, RCC, architectural, and engineering drawings and incorporate PT requirements accordingly.
• Prepare detailed Post-Tensioning construction drawings based on approved engineering designs.

2. Shop Drawings & IFC Drawings

• Develop detailed PT shop drawings for project execution.
• Prepare Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings.
• Prepare drawing packages for submission to clients and consultants.
• Incorporate approved design changes, revisions, and consultant/client comments.
• Ensure all drawings are complete, accurate, coordinated, and suitable for site execution.

3. As-Built & Project Documentation

• Prepare as-built drawings after project completion.
• Update drawings based on actual site execution and approved changes.
• Maintain proper drawing revision records.
• Maintain drawing registers and document-control records.
• Ensure superseded drawings are properly identified and controlled.
• Maintain accurate records of issued, revised, and approved drawings.

4. Coordination

• Coordinate with PT Designers for design-related inputs and drawing requirements.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers for site conditions, execution requirements, and as-built information.
• Coordinate with Project Managers regarding project schedules and drawing submissions.
• Coordinate with clients and consultants wherever required through the concerned project/design team.
• Clarify drawing-related technical issues and incorporate approved instructions.

5. Drawing Quality & Accuracy

• Verify dimensions, levels, tendon quantities, tendon locations, profiles, anchorage locations, and other drawing details before issue.
• Check drawings for accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Ensure drawings comply with approved engineering designs and project specifications.
• Follow company drafting standards and established drawing procedures.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, detailing, and presentation.

6. Quality, Safety & Continuous Improvement

• Follow the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Follow company safety requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable project specifications and quality requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for drafting efficiency, accuracy, quality, and document control.
• Identify recurring drafting issues and contribute to improving drafting processes and standards.

E. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCEQualification

• Diploma in Civil Engineering preferred
• ITI – Draftsman Civil can also be considered
• Diploma in Civil Engineering will be preferred for candidates with relevant PT drafting experience.
• B. E. Civil Engineer

Experience

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in:
• Post-Tensioning Drafting
• Prestressed Concrete Drafting
• RCC / Structural Drafting
• Commercial Building Projects
• Residential Building Projects
• Infrastructure / Construction Projects

Candidates having practical experience in Post-Tensioning / Prestressed Concrete projects will be preferred.

Experience with other reputed Post-Tensioning / Prestressed Concrete / Structural Engineering companies may also be considered.

H. IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate should have 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Post-Tensioning / Prestressed Concrete drafting, with strong knowledge of AutoCAD, PT tendon layouts, tendon profiles, stressing layouts, anchorage details, reinforcement detailing, shop drawings, IFC drawings, and as-built drawings.

The candidate should be capable of understanding approved engineering designs and converting them into accurate, detailed, and execution-ready PT drawings, while coordinating effectively with designers, site teams, project managers, clients, and consultants.
