Postdoc Associate

Responsibilities We are looking for a Postdoctoral Associate to elucidate the structural biology of human membrane proteins and membrane protein complexes involved in epithelial cell/cell adhesion and intercellular transport. The candidate will use structural biology techniques such as X-ray crystallography, cryo-electron microscopy and tomography (cryo-EM, cryo-ET), and microcrystal electron diffraction (microED) to determine 3D structures of integral membrane proteins and their associated protein complexes. The Postdoctoral Scholar will be responsible for:

• The expression, purification, and structure determination of these membrane proteins and complexes, as well as the development of methods applied to this research.
• Other activities of the position include assisting with lab organization and operation.
• Training of students and other lab personnel.
• Grant and manuscript proposal development and writing.
