Your work profile

We are looking for a Database Developer / Administrator with strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL DBA + Development . The ideal candidate should have expertise in database performance, SQL development, backup/recovery, schema design, migration, and Time Series Databases , preferably QuestDB . Experience in high-throughput, real-time environments will be highly preferred.

Key skills required:

• Manage and develop PostgreSQL databases across development, testing, and production environments.
• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting .
• Design and implement backup and recovery strategies and execute database recovery procedures.
• Develop complex SQL queries, functions, stored procedures, and database objects .
• Design and maintain database schemas and Physical Data Models (PDM) .
• Work on database migration, upgrades, and data movement projects.
• Manage and optimize Time Series Databases , preferably QuestDB .
• Support high-volume, high-throughput and real-time data processing environments.
• Monitor database health, capacity, performance, availability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with application developers, architects, DevOps, and data teams to optimize database solutions.
• Identify database issues and implement proactive performance and reliability improvements.

Experience:

• 5–10 years of overall database experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL DBA + Development .
• Proven experience in performance tuning and complex SQL development .
• Experience with backup/recovery and database migration projects .
• Exposure to QuestDB or other Time Series Databases .
• Experience working with high-volume / real-time applications is preferred.
