Responsibilities

• Thoroughly wash, sanitize, and organize pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping ingredients or assembling dishes under supervision.
• Support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean work environment by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste properly.
• Help with restocking supplies and ensuring all necessary items are available for chefs and cooks.
• Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent contamination and ensure food hygiene compliance.
• Support serving staff by providing clean dishes and assisting with minor food handling tasks when needed.
• Contribute positively to team efforts by staying motivated, punctual, and proactive in daily duties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques is advantageous.
• Familiarity with kitchen safety standards and hygiene practices.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy pots or cleaning equipment.
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues.
• Experience in hotel or culinary settings can be a plus but is not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• A genuine interest in hospitality, serving guests, and maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
