Location: Chippenham, Wiltshire

Hours: Full-time & Part Time Temporary roles until 24th December 2026. Full time position includes every other weekend. Part time position is every weekend.

Do you love working with people? Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service in a fun, creative environment?

We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Pottery Café Assistant to join our busy Paint Your Own Pottery studio. Every day is different – from helping families create treasured keepsakes to serving freshly made coffees and cakes, operating our pottery kiln and making every customer feel welcome.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Pottery Café Assistant, you'll be involved in all aspects of running the studio, including:

Welcoming customers and creating a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Helping customers choose and paint pottery, offering tips and techniques to achieve the best results.

Explaining the pottery painting process from start to finish.

Preparing and serving quality hot and cold drinks, including barista-style coffees, full training provided.

Serving light food, cakes and refreshments.

Operating the till and processing payments.

Safely loading and unloading the pottery kiln (full training provided).

Preparing finished pottery for collection.

Keeping the studio clean, organised and well stocked.

Supporting birthday parties, workshops and special events.

Experience

Previous experience in any of the following would be an advantage, but isn't essential as full training will be provided:

Hospitality

Café or coffee shop

Experience working with children

Customer service

Retail

Arts, crafts or pottery

Confident interacting with children and families
