We are looking for a new team member who is an experienced potter, someone who has worked in a pottery studio before, or who has an interest in pottery and art to join our small team.

If experienced, they must have a good knowledge of hand building and wheel throwing.

This is a great opportunity and we’re after someone who can jump in with confidence, a smile, and plenty of energy. The role is very customer-focused, so being friendly, approachable, self-motivated and comfortable talking both in person and on the phone is really important.

Attention to detail and good memory is also essential. You’ll need be able to multitask, and feel just as comfortable working on your own as you do as part of our little team and at some point teach our clubs and events.

The days we’re looking to cover are Tuesday to Saturday (10am - 6pm).

Some flexibility would be needed, as you will be required to work two evenings a month and one Sunday a month.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in social, creative front-house environments.

This is a permanent position with a 3 month probation period.

Responsibilities:

  • Social media and marketing skills
  • Admin skills, replying to emails
  • Teaching wheel throwing sessions, pottery clubs and workshops

  • Studio Upkeep: Keep things tidy, clean, organised, and stocked
  • What we're looking for:
  • A genuine interest in creativity, art and pottery
  • Ability to pick up our studio's ethos quickly and work within given time frames.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills, ahead planning and attention to detail.
  • Experience in customer service, retail, hospitality or similar.

How to apply:

Send us your CV and a short cover letter to [email protected] telling us a bit about yourself and why you’d be a great fit or call us on 07512706330. Please only apply if you are an experience potter or have a real interest in ceramics.

Pay: £24,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
