Poultry Sourcing Specialist

About The Job Our client is a global food commodities company focused on sourcing and selling food commodities internationally, with a particular focus on the China market for poultry products.

Our client's current demand is for U.S. raw frozen chicken feet. Our client is seeking a National Poultry Sourcing Specialist who can identify qualified suppliers, build strong supplier relationships, source the required product, and secure reliable allocations across the United States.

This is a commission-based opportunity with significant earning potential and a long-term outlook for growth into multiple areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Source U.S. raw frozen chicken feet from qualified suppliers across the country.
• Identify and develop relationships with poultry processors, producers, distributors, brokers, and other relevant suppliers.
• Secure reliable national product allocations based on customer demand.
• Develop and maintain a strong nationwide supplier network.
• Negotiate sourcing opportunities and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Monitor product availability and communicate supply opportunities to the appropriate internal teams.
• Build long-term relationships with suppliers and industry contacts.
• Research and identify new sourcing opportunities within the poultry and food commodities markets.
• Support the expansion of sourcing activities into additional products and market opportunities.

What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in poultry sourcing, food commodities, meat processing, food distribution, procurement, or a related industry.
• Established relationships with U.S. poultry suppliers or the ability to quickly develop a national supplier network.
• Strong business development, sourcing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Understanding of poultry products, supply availability, and supplier allocation processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a nationwide sourcing territory remotely.
• A results-driven mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and convert supplier relationships into sourcing results.
• Experience with frozen poultry products, particularly chicken feet, is highly preferred.
