Job Description

We are looking for a dependable, safety focused Powder Bagging & Production Associate to join our production team.

This is a hands on industrial production position involving the measuring, filling, sealing, labeling, packaging, and handling of powdered materials. Some materials handled in this position require specific safety procedures and personal protective equipment.

This can be a dusty and dirty job. Applicants should be comfortable working in a production environment where powders, dust, and repetitive material handling are part of the normal workday.

Safety is our highest priority. The right person will consistently follow written procedures, wear required PPE, keep their work area clean and organized, and never take shortcuts when handling materials.

Responsibilities

• Measure, weigh, fill, and package powdered products
• Operate bagging, weighing, sealing, and other production equipment
• Accurately follow batch sheets, product specifications, and packaging instructions
• Label and prepare finished products for inventory or shipment
• Handle industrial powders according to established safety procedures
• Wear all required PPE for the task being performed
• Follow SDS information, workplace safety rules, and handling procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized production area
• Clean equipment and work areas between products as required
• Help prevent product contamination and mixing of materials
• Inspect finished packages for correct weight, seals, labels, and condition
• Move bags, boxes, raw materials, and finished products throughout the production area
• Immediately report spills, damaged containers, equipment problems, or safety concerns
• Assist with general production and warehouse duties as needed

What You Should Know Before Applying

This is not a clean office or light assembly position.

You will regularly work around powdered materials. The work environment can be dusty and dirty, and some products require additional handling precautions.

Employees must be willing to wear required PPE whenever instructed. Depending on the material and task, PPE may include items such as protective gloves, safety glasses or goggles, protective clothing, and other required protective equipment.

Following PPE and safety requirements is a condition of employment.

Physical Requirements

Applicants should be comfortable:

• Standing and working on their feet for extended periods
• Performing repetitive filling, weighing, sealing, and packaging tasks
• Bending, reaching, and performing routine production work
• Working in a dusty industrial environment
• Wearing required PPE for extended periods when necessary
• Safely lifting and moving materials associated with the position

Qualifications

Previous manufacturing, production, packaging, warehouse, chemical handling, or industrial experience is helpful but not required.

Schedule

Full time

We have flexibility for either a first shift or second shift schedule and can discuss specific hours with qualified applicants.
