Powder Coat Painter

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coat Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality powder coating finishes to a variety of metal products, ensuring durability, aesthetic appeal, and adherence to strict quality standards. Your expertise in industrial painting techniques and safety protocols will contribute to the production of top-tier finished goods. Duties

• Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, and surface preparation to ensure optimal coating adhesion
• Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, airless paint sprayers, and conventional spray systems
• Apply powder coating finishes with precision, maintaining consistent thickness and coverage according to production specifications
• Interpret production documents such as work orders, process sheets, and quality standards to execute tasks accurately
• Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment for fabrication, assembly, or surface preparation as needed
• Monitor coating processes for quality control by conducting visual color comparisons and inspecting for defects
• Follow safety protocols by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE), respirators, and respiratory protection devices at all times

Requirements

• Prior experience with industrial painting or powder coating processes in a manufacturing or construction setting
• Knowledge of coating application techniques including auto body repair, auto painting, and construction surface preparation
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, and measurement specifications using precision measuring instruments
• Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in fabricating, machining, assembly, and the use of hand tools or power tools
• Experience operating forklifts or warehouse equipment is preferred but not mandatory
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to PPE use, respiratory protection, and hazard mitigation in an industrial environment
• Basic math skills for measuring coatings and verifying dimensions accurately
