Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coating Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and safety protocols. Your expertise will help deliver durable, visually appealing finished products that meet customer specifications. Duties

• Prepare surfaces through construction painting surface preparation techniques to ensure optimal coating adhesion
• Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, airless paint sprayers, and conventional spray systems, to apply coatings evenly and efficiently
• Interpret production documents and work orders to understand coating specifications and application procedures
• Handle materials safely using proper materials handling techniques and adhere strictly to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) protocols, including respirators and respiratory protection gear
• Use forklifts and power tools safely for material movement and assembly tasks within the production area
• Conduct visual color comparisons and quality inspections to verify coating consistency and finish quality according to established standards
• Maintain a clean work environment by following safety protocol adherence, including PPE use, to prevent contamination and ensure workplace safety
• Assist with machining, auto body repair, or auto painting tasks as needed to support production finishing processes

Experience

• Prior experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or manufacturing environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Mechanical knowledge related to coating systems, power tools, and construction painting surface preparation techniques is highly desirable
• Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus
• Basic math skills for measuring and mixing coatings accurately are necessary
• Ability to interpret production documents and follow detailed instructions with precision
• Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence and PPE use in all aspects of work

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
