Powder Coating Operator

We are currently looking for experienced Powder Coating Operators to join our manufacturing/production team. Candidates should have hands-on experience in industrial surface treatment and coating processes, with preference given to those experienced in powder coating and E-Coating/KTL.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor surface treatment and coating equipment as per production requirements.
• Perform surface preparation processes such as cleaning, degreasing, rinsing, phosphating and other pre-treatment processes.
• Handle and operate powder coating systems, including preparation, application and curing processes.
• Experience with E-Coating / KTL (Cathodic Electro Deposition) processes will be highly preferred.
• Monitor process parameters such as temperature, chemical concentration, coating thickness and curing conditions.
• Ensure components are properly prepared before coating to achieve the required surface finish and quality.
• Carry out routine inspections of coated parts and identify defects such as uneven coating, pinholes, runs, poor adhesion, contamination or incorrect thickness.
• Follow approved SOPs, work instructions and quality standards throughout the production process.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure the work area and equipment are kept clean and safe.
• Perform basic operational checks and report any equipment or process abnormalities to the supervisor.
• Follow all required HSE and workplace safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
• Maintain production records, process checklists and inspection reports as required.
• Coordinate with the Production, Quality and Maintenance teams to resolve process or quality issues.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous hands-on experience as a Surface Treatment Operator, Powder Coating Operator, Coating Operator or similar role.
• Practical experience in industrial surface treatment / metal finishing.
• Powder coating experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in E-Coating / KTL will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of pre-treatment processes such as degreasing, phosphating and chemical treatment is preferred.
• Basic understanding of coating quality, adhesion and thickness requirements.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/industrial production environment.
• Physically fit and comfortable working around production equipment and chemicals while following appropriate safety procedures.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a production team and follow supervisor instructions.
