Powder Coating Technician

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coating Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying durable, high-quality powder coatings to a variety of metal products, ensuring they meet strict quality standards. Duties

• Prepare metal components for coating by cleaning, masking, and inspecting surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
• Operate powder coating equipment, including spray booths, airless paint sprayers, and curing ovens to apply coatings evenly and efficiently
• Set up and adjust spray guns, conveyor systems, and curing ovens to meet specific project requirements
• Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment while maintaining proper handling procedures
• Perform routine maintenance on coating machinery and tools to ensure continuous operation and safety compliance
• Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness and finish consistency
• Document production data, including batch numbers, coating specifications, and inspection results for traceability

Skills

• Proficiency with forklift operation and materials handling techniques
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and processes
• Experience with industrial painting, auto body repair, or auto painting techniques
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during setup and quality checks
• Warehouse experience with materials management and inventory control
