Power BI Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Visualization and Reporting:
• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key metrics related to student performance, enrollment trends, faculty productivity, and institutional efficiency.
• Present actionable insights to educational leaders and stakeholders.
• Data Analysis:
• Analyze datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations that can inform academic strategies, curriculum development, and resource allocation.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity within BI systems.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with academic departments, administrative teams, and IT staff to understand data needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving educational outcomes through data-driven approaches.
• Optimization:
• Troubleshoot errors in existing BI systems and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Contribute to the optimization of institutional processes through effective data utilization.
• Training and Support:
• Train staff members on how to use Power BI dashboards effectively for their specific needs.
• Provide ongoing support for data-related queries.
• Data Visualization and Reporting: "Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key metrics across a student body of 5,000+ and 300+ faculty members. Present actionable insights to educational leaders and stakeholders, directly influencing strategic decisions regarding student retention and resource allocation."
• Data Analysis: "Perform statistical analysis and create predictive models to identify at-risk students and optimize resource allocation, utilizing tools such as regression analysis and cohort analysis."
• SQL: "Proficient in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and aggregation from relational databases, including experience with stored procedures and performance optimization."
• Tools and Technology: "Experience working with data from Ellucian Banner or Moodle is a plus. Experience with Azure cloud services is also a benefit."
• Training and Support: "Develop and deliver training materials and workshops for staff on Power BI best practices and data interpretation, providing ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance."

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in Power BI tools (Power Query, DAX, Power BI Service).
• Strong knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
• Data modeling expertise for creating efficient visualizations.
• Critical thinking for problem-solving in complex educational settings.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Education Technology, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI in an academic or similar environment.
• Familiarity with educational data systems (e.g., student information systems or learning management systems).

Job Type: Fixed term

Pay: Php40,000.00 - Php50,000.00 per month
