Power BI Developer

Project Context:

The project is part of the Process Improvement Department, where the Power BI Developer works under a continuous improvement or project management lead. The role operates within a time-based delivery model (bolsa de horas), requiring efficient use of resources.

The developer must translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with stakeholders before development begins. The context involves collaboration with business operations and IT/data teams, handling multiple data sources (e.g., SQL, Excel, APIs, SAP), and delivering scalable BI solutions that support decision-making.

Goals and Deliverables

Goals:

• Transform raw data into clear, reliable, and actionable insights.

• Ensure high performance, data quality, and scalability of BI solutions.

• Align BI outputs with business needs and KPIs.

• Promote standardization and continuous improvement in BI processes.

Deliverables:

• Technical specification document (scope, architecture, data model, calculations, assumptions).

• Interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.

• Optimized data models and advanced DAX measures.

• Cleaned and transformed datasets using Power Query.

• Published and maintained reports in Power BI Service.

• Documentation of models, measures, and solutions.
