Power BI Developer

About the role

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visual analytics based on business requirements. Work with Azure Synapse and enterprise data warehouse environments to support large-scale reporting and analytics. Ensure data models, reports, and dashboards are accurate, performant, scalable, and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visual analytics based on business requirements
• Develop advanced DAX measures and calculations to support complex reporting and analytical requirements
• Perform data modelling and transformation using Power Query and Power BI Dataflows
• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures for data extraction and transformation
• Work with Azure Synapse and enterprise data warehouse environments to support large-scale reporting and analytics
• Ensure data models, reports, and dashboards are accurate, performant, scalable, and reliable
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, application teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical reporting solutions
• Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support
• Support SIT and UAT, including issue investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation covering data models, report specifications, workflows, and deployment processes

About you

• Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related discipline
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI report and dashboard development
• Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Power BI
• Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, Data Modelling, and Dataflows
• Strong SQL skills, including query development, optimization, functions, and stored procedures
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server / SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and enterprise data warehousing
• Experience developing Power BI reports in both on-premises and cloud environments
• Strong experience in BI, reporting, data analytics, and enterprise data environments
• Experience in banking or financial services is preferred
