About Go Analytics

Go Analytics is a growing business intelligence consulting company specializing in Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. We help organizations turn their data into practical reporting and analytics solutions that improve visibility and support better decision-making.

As a small consulting company, our team members have the opportunity to work closely with clients, take real ownership of project work, and contribute directly to how we develop and deliver solutions. We value strong technical fundamentals, practical problem solving, clear communication, and solutions that are simple and maintainable.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Power BI Developer to join our growing team and help deliver Power BI solutions for our clients.

This is a hands-on delivery role. You will work across the Power BI development lifecycle, including understanding client requirements, preparing and transforming data, developing semantic models and DAX measures, building reports, validating results, and supporting client delivery.

We are looking for someone with strong Power BI fundamentals and who can take ownership of defined project work with limited day-to-day oversight.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop Power BI reports and dashboards for client projects
  • Build clean, maintainable semantic models using sound dimensional modelling principles
  • Develop and troubleshoot DAX measures to support business and reporting requirements
  • Use Power Query and SQL to prepare, transform, and validate data
  • Work with clients and internal team members to understand business requirements and translate them into practical reporting solutions
  • Validate report outputs against source data and troubleshoot data or reporting issues
  • Present completed work to clients, incorporate feedback, and clearly communicate assumptions, limitations, and risks
  • Follow and contribute to Go Analytics standards for Power BI development, testing, documentation, and delivery

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience developing production Power BI reports and dashboards
  • Strong understanding of dimensional data modelling, relationships, and star-schema design
  • Strong working knowledge of DAX, including filter context and common calculation patterns
  • Experience using Power Query for data preparation and transformation
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying, validating, and transforming data
  • Ability to troubleshoot reporting and data issues independently
  • Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to testing and validating work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage assigned work independently and communicate proactively when requirements, data, or timelines create risk
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience working in consulting or another client-facing environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure data services
  • Experience developing or working with data warehouses
  • Experience with Power BI Service, including workspaces, deployment, security, and governance
  • Microsoft PL-300 or related Microsoft certifications
  • Experience mentoring or supporting other analysts or developers

Why Join Go Analytics

This is an opportunity to join a growing consulting firm at a stage where you can have a meaningful impact.

You'll work on real client projects across different industries and business problems and have direct exposure to the full consulting lifecycle, from understanding a client's problem through developing, presenting, and refining the solution.

You'll also work closely with an experienced Power BI consultant and have opportunities to continue developing your technical and consulting skills, including exposure to Microsoft Fabric and broader data and analytics projects.

As Go Analytics grows, we want this role to grow with it. Someone who establishes themselves as a strong and dependable contributor will have opportunities to take on greater responsibility across solution design, client delivery, project leadership, quality assurance, and eventually mentoring other team members.

If you're a strong Power BI developer who wants more ownership, more variety, and the opportunity to develop into a well-rounded BI consultant, we'd like to hear from you.
