Power BI Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Power BI Engineer to join a leading organization in the technology and analytics industry. The Power BI Engineer will be responsible for developing impactful dashboards, transforming complex data into actionable insights, and partnering with business stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities of the Power BI Engineer:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
• Create data models, visualizations, and KPI tracking solutions to support organizational objectives.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and datasets.
• Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance across reporting environments.
• Develop and implement dashboard design best practices to improve user experience and data accessibility.
• Support ongoing enhancements and maintenance of reporting and analytics solutions.

Qualifications of the Power BI Engineer:

• 5+ years of experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Strong experience with SQL, including complex query development and performance optimization.
• Expertise in dashboard design, data visualization, and business intelligence best practices.
• Experience working with large datasets and developing data models within Power BI.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Ability to communicate technical findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.

Compensation for the Power BI Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $120,000 – $140,000 depending on experience
