Power BI Platform Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Power BI Platform Administrator to manage and optimize Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric environments. This role focuses on platform administration, performance, security, deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement rather than report development.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimize the Power BI platform and Microsoft Fabric environment.
• Manage Power BI workspaces, gateways, licenses, dashboards, and platform configurations.
• Monitor platform performance, capacity utilization, and overall service health.
• Troubleshoot Power BI issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Support deployments and code migration across Development, Test, Staging, and Production environments.
• Use automation tools such as Python, Terraform, and Ansible for deployment and platform management.
• Support platform upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, and other technical initiatives.
• Coordinate with technical and support teams to resolve incidents and critical platform issues.
• Participate in on-call support for critical incidents.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members.

About you

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Power BI Administration.
• Strong experience with Power BI platform administration and optimization.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric administration.
• Knowledge of Power BI workspace management, gateways, licensing, dashboards, and platform configuration.
• Experience with deployment and code migration across environments.
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Python, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including root cause analysis.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of critical platform issues.
