Power BI specialist (6mths)

We are looking for a BI specialist to join our client's fast-growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance and maintain BI solutions, including data models, reports, dashboards and analytics applications.
• Analyse business requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting and analytical needs into effective BI solutions and actionable insights.
• Perform data analysis and ensure data quality by identifying trends, patterns and anomalies, and implementing data validation and integrity checks.
• Monitor and support daily BI operations, including data pipelines, ETL processes, reports and dashboards, to ensure data availability, accuracy and timely delivery of business information.
• Investigate and resolve data and reporting issues by performing root cause analysis, following established SOPs and escalation procedures, and coordinating with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
• Optimise and maintain BI platforms and documentation, including performance tuning, system enhancements, SOPs, data dictionaries and support procedures, while staying updated on emerging BI tools and technologies.

Requirements:

• Possess a recognized university degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Big Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in BI development, data analysis, and analytics platform management.
• Experience with Azure Power Platform and analytics platforms.
• Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), SQL, Python, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy, service quality and operational excellence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics is an advantage.
• Certification in BI tools or data management is highly preferable.
