Role Overview

We are seeking a Power Platform / BI Engineer with strong hands-on experience in building enterprise business intelligence solutions and automating complex workflows using Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps .

The ideal candidate works across the complete solution lifecycle-translating business requirements into robust data models, building interactive management dashboards, automating multi-step business processes, and seamlessly integrating Power Platform solutions with backend systems via REST APIs. This role goes beyond standard dashboarding to build connected, data-driven applications and workflow automation ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities1. Business Intelligence Dashboarding

• Dashboard Development: Design and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for operational, tactical, and executive management reporting.
• Data Modelling DAX: Build scalable data models and analytics layers using Power Query (M) , relational data modeling, and advanced DAX (KPIs, calculated measures, trend analysis, operational metrics).
• Data Preparation: Transform, cleanse, and structure operational datasets using Power Query to create reporting-ready datasets.

2. Workflow Automation App Development

• Automated Workflows: Design and implement scheduled, automated, approval-based, and event-driven workflows in Power Automate (approvals, escalations, status changes, notifications, follow-up actions).
• Business Applications: Develop and support Power Apps integrated with enterprise data sources and backend services.
• Process Optimization: Identify and digitize legacy, manual processes through centralized reporting and automated workflows.

3. Data Engineering Integration

• API Integration: Connect Power Platform solutions with internal/external applications using REST APIs and JSON payload structures.
• Database Management: Build, query, and maintain underlying reporting datasets using SQL and PostgreSQL .
• Support Maintenance: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve reporting errors, workflow failures, data-quality issues, and API integration bugs.

Required Skills Technical Competencies

• Core Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in Power Platform, BI development, data modeling, and workflow automation.
• Power BI Mastery: Advanced proficiency with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service , including security, workspace administration, and dataset refresh configurations.
• DAX Power Query (M): Strong depth in DAX function patterns, performance tuning, data transformation logic, and star/snowflake relational schema modeling.
• Power Automate: Proven expertise building complex multi-stage approvals, automated triggers, scheduled routines, and event-driven flows.
• Power Apps: Practical experience creating low-code canvas/model-driven business applications connected to enterprise data stores.
• SQL Relational Databases: Strong SQL query design, data manipulation, and working experience with relational engines like PostgreSQL .
• API Data Exchange: Hands-on experience integrating systems and workflows using REST APIs and JSON data exchange.
• Analytical Mindset: Demonstrated ability to dissect business workflows, define technical requirements, and solve data integration challenges.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Custom Backend Integration: Experience developing or consuming backend services built with Node.js / Express.js .
• Custom Connectors: Hands-on experience building or extending custom REST API connectors within Power Platform.
• Domain Exposure: Background working with subscription management, CRM, healthcare, customer engagement, or enterprise operational workflow systems.
• Platform Governance: Understanding of environment management, row-level security (RLS), access controls, and DLP policies within Microsoft Power Platform.
• Agile Execution: Practical experience operating within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
