Power platform Developer

We are seeking a Power Automate Developer for a contract role in Austin, TX.

It is a Hybrid role with 3 days a week onsite.

We need an experienced software developer who specializes in advanced Power Platform development, not someone who primarily builds basic Power Apps forms and workflows

This Power Automate Developer must have a strong, demonstrable background in automation and workflow development, with hands-on experience using Microsoft Power Automate, AI Builder, and Power Apps.

This developer will develop new automations and help maintain existing process automation programs. These process automations are built in the Microsoft Power Platform and include technologies like Power Automate, AI Builder, Power Apps, and related tools. This developer should have prior experience with Dataverse and have used connectors for Oracle and SQL Server databases, along with a solid understanding of how real-time and analytical systems can work together.

Key duties include development and maintenance, and helping set up, design, develop, and mature the process automation platform and capabilities. This role involves analyzing requirements, developing automation software, supporting the full lifecycle, conducting unit testing, applying and recommending best practices, and producing documentation. The developer needs to have a big-picture understanding of how the various components work together and should provide guidance on how it could integrate with other processes and applications.

Required Skills:

5 years of experience in application development and maintenance, computer system analysis and testing in the field of information technology

5 years of experience in Microsoft Power Platform

3 years of experience in Power Automate RPA/DPA integration

3 years of experience in document and invoice processing in Power Automate with AI Builder

Power Apps custom application development with experience in Canvas and model-driven apps

Experience with Microsoft Dataverse as storage, data modeling, and management

Power Pages

Power Fx Formula language

Restful APIs

JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, HTML, and JSON

Microsoft Azure DevOps and other Azure Services

Pre-built and custom Connectors, and Gateways to connect to data sources securely
