Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Power Press Operator to operate power press machines for sheet metal components as per production requirements, drawings, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Power Press Machines for sheet metal component production.
• Set and operate dies, tools, and fixtures as per production requirements.
• Perform loading, unloading, feeding, and handling of sheet metal components.
• Ensure proper machine settings and smooth operation of the press.
• Read and understand basic engineering drawings and production instructions.
• Check components using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Gauges, etc.
• Maintain required quality and production targets.
• Identify and report defects, machine abnormalities, and tooling issues to the supervisor.
• Carry out basic machine cleaning and routine maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements while operating the machine.
• Maintain production records and ensure proper housekeeping at the workplace.
• Coordinate with the Production Supervisor, Tool Room, and Quality Department.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in operating Power Press / Mechanical Press.
• Knowledge of sheet metal components and press tools/dies.
• Basic knowledge of die setting and machine adjustments.
• Ability to read basic engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments.
• Good understanding of production and quality requirements.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
• Ability to work in a team and meet production targets.

Qualifications

• ITI – Fitter / Machinist / Turner or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Candidates with relevant experience in sheet metal manufacturing may also apply.

Preferred Experience

Experience in industrial electrical components, sheet metal fabrication, switchgear, panel components, or similar manufacturing industries will be an advantage.
