Power Supply Electrical Engineer – Railway Electrification

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Power Supply Electrical Engineer to join our team and contribute to railway electrification and traction power supply projects.

The role is suitable for engineers with experience in traction power, railway electrification, OCS/OLE, substations, electrical power systems, electrical design, installation, testing & commissioning , or related power engineering disciplines.

You will be involved in the engineering and technical delivery of power supply systems, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering, installation, testing and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering and technical support for railway traction power supply systems .
• Development and review of electrical engineering documentation, drawings and technical specifications.
• Contribution to the design and engineering of HV/MV/LV power supply systems and substations .
• Supporting the design and integration of traction power equipment, transformers, switchgear, feeders and distribution systems.
• Coordination with OCS/OLE, civil, signalling, telecom and other railway disciplines .
• Review of electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, layouts, cable schedules and technical documentation.
• Supporting installation activities and resolving technical issues during project execution.
• Participation in testing, commissioning and site activities .
• Technical coordination with contractors, suppliers and project teams.
• Verification of compliance with applicable technical requirements, standards and project specifications.
• Participation in technical meetings and preparation/review of engineering deliverables.
• Supporting troubleshooting, fault investigation and resolution of technical issues.
• Ensuring that engineering activities are delivered according to project requirements, quality and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related technical field.
• Relevant professional experience in electrical power systems, railway electrification, substations, electrical design, installation or commissioning.
• Good understanding of electrical power supply systems and electrical equipment.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation .
• Experience with engineering/design software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, ETAP, DIgSILENT or similar is an advantage.
• Experience working on site and/or coordinating installation activities is an advantage.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical and railway standards is an advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Good level of English.
