Power System Engineer

Senior Power Systems Studies Engineer | Fully Remote | US

We are currently working on an exciting opportunity for a Senior Power Systems Studies Engineer to join a growing US engineering team in a fully remote position .

This role will focus on complex utility-scale power systems, including planning, modelling, interconnection studies and advanced power system analysis.

The role:

• Perform power system planning, modelling and engineering studies
• Conduct interconnection and power system analysis
• Develop and analyze large-scale power system models
• Perform steady-state, dynamic and/or EMT studies
• Use PSS®E, PSLF, PSCAD or comparable software
• Analyze results and provide engineering recommendations
• Work with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, developers, OEMs and other stakeholders
• Communicate technical findings to clients and project teams
• Help develop engineering methodologies as the US team continues to grow

What we are looking for:

• Around 7+ years' experience in power systems engineering, planning, studies or a related field
• Strong hands-on experience with power system studies and analysis
• Experience with power planning and/or interconnection studies
• Utility-scale or system-level power network experience
• Large and complex system modelling experience preferred
• Experience with PSS®E, PSLF, PSCAD or comparable software
• Utility, ISO/RTO or grid organization experience strongly preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
