Power Systems & Compliance Engineer

We are supporting a leading energy business with an urgent requirement for an experienced Power Systems & Compliance Engineer to join on an initial 6-month contract.

The role will support a portfolio of UK energy assets, with a focus on power systems, grid compliance and technical assurance.

Contract: 6 months

IR35: Outside IR35

Location: Remote, with London office presence when required

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• Support grid compliance and technical requirements across a portfolio of energy assets.
• Manage requirements relating to grid connections and connection agreements.
• Undertake and review power system studies, including load flow, fault level and dynamic assessments.
• Liaise with network operators, OEMs and technical consultants.
• Review technical studies, modelling and engineering documentation.
• Identify compliance gaps and support the implementation of technical solutions.
• Assist with regulatory submissions, audits and ongoing compliance activities.

Key Experience

• Strong background in power systems engineering and/or grid compliance.
• Knowledge of the UK Grid Code and DNO connection requirements.
• Experience with generation, energy storage or other grid-connected assets.
• Understanding of power system modelling and network studies.
• Experience within an energy company, IPP, utility, consultancy or network environment.
