Power Trader

WiseGlow is building its European PV & BESS portfolio and is seeking a high-potential Short-Term Power Trader looking to grow in energy trading and asset optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Directly manage bids and dispatch for PV & BESS assets on Day-Ahead, Intraday and Balancing markets.
• Optimise BESS dispatch and manage portfolio imbalances.
• Monitor daily positions and P&L, analysing performance against strategy.
• Analyse energy prices, renewable generation, demand and market fundamentals.
• Develop forecasting and back-testing models using Python or SQL.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Asset Management and Technical teams.

Required Profile

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in short-term power trading, dispatch or asset optimisation for front-of-the-meter assets.
• Operational experience in at least one of Day-Ahead, Intraday, Balancing or Ancillary Services.
• Excellent proficiency in Python and/or SQL.
• Experience with BESS, PV or other flexible assets is a strong plus.
• Strong intellectual curiosity, self-sufficiency and fast learning ability.
