Power Utility Engineer

About the role

Power & Utility Engineer role at Universal Robina Corporation involves managing assigned utilities, maintaining professional and safe operating practices, and recommending system improvements. You will carry out engineering management protocols for the functioning of the power and utility distribution system throughout the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, maintain, and oversee good professional and safe operating and working practices and recommend or propose system improvements
• Carry out engineering management protocols for the functioning of the power and utility distribution system throughout the plant up to the operations
• Perform and complete required daily, weekly, and semi-annual maintenance activities and monitoring on all power and utility facilities
• Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, repair electrical and mechanical equipment and safety control devices to support production process
• Monitor and document energy consumption and develop reduction cost strategy
• Coordinate operational requirements, operator manning and schedule relative to the distribution of power utilities with the feedmill plant manager
• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and major repairs with both power utility head and feedmill plant manager
• Supervise operators and contractors assigned to the utilities systems
• Stay current with local government regulation and coordinate compliance

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in power plant, utilities, manufacturing, or industrial operations
• Knowledgeable in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of utility systems such as boilers, air compressors, generators, chillers, water treatment systems, electrical distribution systems
• Experience in food manufacturing, feed milling, or agro-industrial operations
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
