PowerBI + SQL Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Develop, design, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights
• Create and manage complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to support business decisions

Database Management:

• Design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure data integrity and performance
• Optimize SQL queries and database performance to handle large datasets efficiently
• Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from multiple sources and ensure data consistency
• Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI and SQL tools

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics, business intelligence, and database management
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance data quality and reporting capabilities
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for data management

Job requirements

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query
• Strong SQL skills, including experience with complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimisation
• Experience with ETL processes and tool
• Knowledge of database design and management, including relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and data warehousing concept
• Familiarity with data visualisation best practices and principle

Analytical Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex dataset
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality solution

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical team
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and reliable results
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on PowerBI and SQL
