Powersports Service Writer / Advisor

Fin Manufacturing, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Service Writer for our store in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We sell a full line of BRP, Bombardier Recreational Products (SEA-DOO, SKI-DOO, and CAN-AM). Job Description

As a Service Writer you are responsible for maintaining communication between the technicians and the customers. This might also include communication with the sales department when jobs involve the assembly of new major units and/or accessory builds. A service writer should stay up to date and aware of new customer service practices and accessory options and be a persistent problem solver. Additional tasks include the following:

• Maintain our reputation of integrity, honesty, trust, and excellent service
• Be an energetic member of a service team
• Prioritize required services and be prepared to provide options
• Ensure that technicians have major units and parts ready
• Coordinate the sales and technician schedules to manage setups and accessory builds
• Initiate motorsports service and repairs by listening to descriptions of symptoms, and concerns from customers, clarifying descriptions so that the technician will diagnose problems correctly
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor
• Obtain the customer's approval on estimates and expected return time of vehicle
• Utilize access to manufacturer and vendor information
• Keep up-to-date on technician bulletins, updates and recall notices

Duties

• Arrive at work in a timely manner each day
• Uphold customer courtesy and maintain dress code at all times
• Be honest and straightforward in every transaction
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Recognize when to ask for help or turn a situation over to a Manager
• Be a good team member and assist others when requested
• Assume responsibility for conducting yourself in a manner that reflects favorably on the dealership

Requirements

Computing skills, quality focus, customer service management, problem solving skills, operate safely, able to lift 50lbs., valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.

Education/Experience

2-years customer service experience

Motorcycle endorsement (within 12-months of employment).
