Job Description

Pompton Sport Center is looking for a skilled, dependable, and motivated Powersports Technician to join our growing service department.

We are an established multi-line powersports dealership specializing in motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, dirt bikes, and other recreational vehicles.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, excellent diagnostic abilities, and takes pride in delivering quality repairs and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and other powersports equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire replacements, brake repairs, and scheduled services.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, fuel injection, and engine-related issues.
• Perform new-unit assembly, setup, and pre-delivery inspections (PDI).
• Install accessories and aftermarket components.
• Complete repair orders accurately and document work performed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Collaborate with service advisors, parts personnel, and management.

Qualifications

• Previous motorcycle, automotive, or powersports mechanical experience preferred.
• Experience with Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki is a plus.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment, service manuals, and repair tools.
• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding mechanical work.
• Manufacturer certifications are a plus but not required.
