Powersports Technician

As a Powersports Technician, you will be the driving force behind maintaining and repairing a wide range of recreational vehicles, including motorcycles, ATVs, and dirk bikes. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics on powersports vehicles to identify issues accurately.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire replacements, brake repairs, and suspension adjustments.
• Repair or replace mechanical components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems with precision.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to assemble parts or perform repairs efficiently.
• Conduct vehicle assembly after repairs or upgrades to ensure proper fitment and safety standards are met.
• Lift heavy components safely during repairs while adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury.

Skills

• Proven dealership experience or service technician background working with powersports or automotive vehicles is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in powersports diagnostics and repair procedures.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques for various repair tasks is preferred.
• Experience with vehicle maintenance including brake repair, suspension work, engine diagnostics, and assembly processes.
• Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with service manager about repairs and maintenance needs.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts handling.
• Knowledge of repair standards and safety protocols to ensure quality workmanship.
• Louisiana motorcycle endorsement preferred; candidates without one must be willing to obtain it.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Work schedule includes Saturdays, must have weekend availability.

Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
