What to Expect

Join the Tesla Optimus team and help build the future of general-purpose humanoid robotics. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic engineer for the Optimus Powertrain Design team in Athens, with a focus on powertrain modeling and system optimization for Optimus.

What You'll Do

• Develop advanced MATLAB functions to model Optimus powertrain performance, contributing to a multi-physics modeling codebase.
• Develop new and enhance existing actuator system optimization functions based on multiple criteria.
• Process big data, extract useful system-level information to aid powertrain design, and visualize the results.

What You'll Bring

• BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
• Several years of relevant experience within a similar position
• Strong mathematical and physics background
• Strong MATLAB programming skills
• Understanding of optimization fundamentals
• Ability to communicate in English language at a professional level, both verbally and written

The following are desirable but not essential requirements:

• Electrical machines, power electronics and control fundamentals
• Understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer
• Very good understanding of electromagnetics and electric circuits
• Understanding of electrical, thermal and mechanical modeling
• Physics/model representations of kinematic chains
